2015 NAST Awards

Held at the Holiday Inn Express, Warwick, we celebrated the achievements of NAST members for the 2015 season. Despite variable entries at each round and weather affecting the outcome of some events, in ET it was a close battle until the final day and Gas, although a foregone conclusion, still had a disappointment for the outright winner in the finals.

Extreme Bike Santa Pod

MottyMay15rsCongratulations to Chris Mott who apparently is SPRC Supertwin Top Gas champion before turning a wheel at this weekend’s ‘Extreme Bike’ meeting and Phil Cordelle (if he can find a pen)IMG_2661ls will be SPRC Supertwin ET champion as current leader Fiona Moor will not be at the event and Phil only needs to sign on to win.
This makes it the 3rd championship for Motty this year!

Round 5 – The Finals

The sun shone all weekend but on Sunday there were some unexpected results. Pete Harrison beat Cary Wadey in the first round of ET which gave him the championship but he wasn’t content with that, after winning the semi-final he was up against the reaction king Kieran. Unfortunately they both realised that it was all or nothing and both red-lit but Kieran had the greater foul so Pete was the man of the meeting. In Gas Chris Mott was ailing with late Summer ‘flu and an unexpected problem with the Harley gearbox handed the win to Robbie Dobbie but the championship was still with Chris.

Looks like a foregone conclusion for Chris Mott as there isn’t enough points up for grabs for Robbie Dobbie to even come a close runner-up (760/330). However in ET Pete Harrison has a chance of taking number one spot from current leader Cary Wadey (1030/885). Sunshine promised and some close racing for this weekend.
